TIMELESS HERITAGE

Family name
The legacy of the Boretti family is the story of six generations of architects who have been changing Warsaw since the end of the 18th century and who have also been active in Central Europe. Giuseppe Boretti came to Poland on the orders of King Stanisław August Poniatowski. He was an architect whose work focused mainly on the construction of buildings on the Royal Route in Warsaw. Giuseppe, among many works in Warsaw, rebuilt, among others, the Church of St. Francis in the Old Town, designed the White House in Łazienki (a guest palace at the Palace on the Water), and together with architect Jakub Kubicki rebuilt the Royal Faience Factory into the Belweder Palace, where after the partitions of Poland the Grand Duke Constantine took up residence. His brother Giovanni was a builder focused mainly on the reconstruction of Vilnius. Six generations of their successors were involved in architecture, art and construction with a great influence on the aesthetics of the Capital City of Warsaw in the 19th century. After World War II, Professor Zygmunt Boretti rebuilt the Warsaw University of Technology, of which he was the Vice-Rector, Dean of the Department of Civil Engineering and Structures and a world authority in the field of water structures and supervisor of many outstanding PhD students in engineering in Poland and around the world.
The Boretti family has made a huge contribution to the development of architecture and art in Europe, and today Mark Boretti, a direct descendant of Giuseppe Boretti, continues this tradition by creating a unique portfolio of the Boretti Timless Heritage brand.
